SUPPORTING CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND OUR MOST VULNERABLE

Let's face it.  As a whole, we have let many Granite State families down. We have fallen short of our responsibility to ensure that all families have access to affordable housing, childcare, and early childhood education. Throughout NH, there must be more access to transportation, healthy foods, dental, and health care for all ages. We need more significant support services not only for our children and families but also for our seniors, people with disabilities, veterans, and the unhoused.  I'm committed to advocating for and protecting policies supporting working families and helping them achieve their dreams. I will stand strong with policies that ensure all children have access to the care they need to help them stay healthy, happy, and educated.

I pledge to advocate for and stand firm on policies that support our children and families. You can depend on me!

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHCARE AND PROTECTING YOUR RIGHT TO CHOOSE

When it comes to reproductive health care, I will always support and stand up for a woman’s right to choose what is best for her. When and how to start a family is a personal choice and an individual right to be protected. All Granite Staters must have access to affordable, safe, and legal reproductive health care, including contraception, fertility care, and abortion care, regardless of geography, income, or insurance coverage. This access should be free from government interference.

I was in Jr. High when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution protected a woman's right to an abortion. Now, 50 years later, my daughter would have had fewer rights than I did at her age.

CONSERVATION - Protecting our wetlands, lakes, rivers, streams, and drinking water

I greatly support a statewide comprehensive environmental action plan with a clear and specified timeline of goals. Did you know over 90% of New Hampshire's water pollution is caused by stormwater runoff? These pollutants include road salt, fertilizer, pet waste, septic systems, lawn and auto chemicals. These runoffs pollute our lakes, ponds, streams, and coastal waters. Polyfluoroalkyl substances – known as PFAS, the forever chemicals, are another BIG issue in New Hampshire. I will continue my fight to bring more awareness to Granite Staters. For instance, did you know that polyfluoroalkyl substances can still be found in some wells and many products we use daily? Nonstick cookware, grease-resistant food packaging, and waterproof clothing, to name a few.

While previously serving in the House, I co-sponsored and worked on PFAS bills. In 2020, I was a member of the PFAS Medical Monitoring Study Committee. We reviewed and studied the need for long-term monitoring of people exposed to PFAS. The benefits of monitoring would help with the early detection of cancers and other medical issues linked to PFAS before they become untreatable.
